The property is located directly across Lakes Edge Road (Hwy 189) from the The Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa and the Village of Lake Arrowhead Shopping Center, containing over 50 shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Lodge offers all the charm and character you would expect from a finely crafted grand mountain residence. It was built by a Signal Hill Oil Executive to entertain business associates & friends and completed in 1928. The Lodge has 6 bedrooms on the third and fourth floors, all with a private full or
3/4 baths and most with lake views. On the main floor, there is a large
salon with a piano, massive stone fireplace with hand carved mantle
& beams, a cozy library/ media room with a large flat screen TV &
Blue Ray / DVD player, a full bath, a convenience kitchen and sitting room with wood
burning fireplace adjacent to an intimate light filled dining room. On the lower
level, there is a full kitchen, large dining room with a wood burning
fireplace, a family room with a large flat screen TV and Blue Ray / DVD
player, a laundry room and 3/4 bath.
The Carriage House offers modest comforts and has been a favorite vacation retreat for a famous contemporary novelist. It is available for an additional fee when extra bedrooms are needed for larger groups. The Carriage House sits above a detached garage on the south side of the Lodge. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a private 3/4 bath, queen bed, queen sleeper sofa and cable TV. There is a also a small kitchen between the two bedrooms and deck overlooking the lake and village.
